The 2019 Avon Descent: Please Read

THE 2019 AVON DESCENT
You will be receiving a text message this evening outlining your grid placement.
 
SAFETY
Make sure all competitors and support crew are familiar with the safety briefing.
The safety briefing can be found on the Avon Descent website.
 
Follow all instructions given by the ADSU officials during the race to ensure the safety of all competitors and support crew in the race.
 
REGISTRATION – FRIDAY
Registration is from 12pm – 8pm at the Northam Swimming Pool, Northam.
Please advise the Sport team if you require late Scrutineering.
 
After Registration, vehicles are to enter through Broome Terrace off Newcastle Road to ensure smooth entrance into the Northam Pit Area. No craft will be permitted to enter the pit area until after 12pm. No early entries! Please follow all instructions given by the Northam Lions team.
 
 
CAMPING AND PARKING PASSES
CAMPING PASSES AND PARKING PASSES CAN BE PURCHASED AT REGISTRATION BETWEEN 12 – 8pm AT NORTHAM SWIMMING POOL.
 
Camping Passes can also be purchased at the gate of the Cobbler Pool Campsite.
Card is preferred although cash is available.
 
$10 per car – COBBLER POOL DAY PARKING PASS (Day Parking Only, No Camping)
$50 per car – FAMILY PARKING PASS (access to all NADA run parking locations)
$25 per adult – COBBLER POOL CAMPING PASS (Children under 12 years old enter free)
 
NOTE: Support Crew stickers only allow two (2) adults in the vehicle to park at the Cobbler Pool Campsite. If there are more than two (2) adults in the vehicle, you will have to purchase a Cobbler Pool Day Parking Pass.
 
DAY ONE – SATURDAY
Please pay close attention to the Grid Marshalls and follow their instructions to ensure a timely start to the race.
 
8:00am – First Power boat grid starts
8:30am – First Paddle craft grid starts
 
PLEASE NOTE:
There is no parking available at Toodyay Rapids due to erosion and damage to the land. This is private property, please respect the owners and do no trespass on their land.
 
DAY TWO – SUNDAY
7:00am – First Paddle craft grid starts
12:00pm – First Power boat grid starts
 
PLEASE NOTE:
MIDDLE SWAN RESERVE
There are currently revegetation works happening at Middle Swan Reserve.
There temporary fencing around the revegetation areas, however the spectator views are currently blocked off at the site. The pontoon area remains open for use as a stopping point.
 
SHUTTLE BUS FROM SEC TO BELLS
$10 per vehicle – State Equestrian Centre Parking & Shuttle Bus to Bells Rapids.
 
 
EVENT PHOTOGRAPHY
Marathon-Photos are the 2019 Official Event Photographers.

That’s a pack of all their photos digitally that they can print any size themselves.
