Hank McGregor took out the K1 Men’s 2013 ICF Canoe Marathon World Championships in Copenhagen over this past weekend, 22nd-23rd September, 2013.

The 30.1km race brought strong competition, but South African McGregor powered through to take the reigns in 2h 10m 34s, a mere 5 seconds in front of Ivan Alonso who represented Spain. It was a tight finish, with 3rd place going to French man Cyrille Carre who came in 8 seconds behind McGregor.

McGregor took out first place at the 2013 Act-Belong-Commit Avon Descent in 9h 24m 38s.

Well done Hank- a stellar performance!
