The Avon Schools Challenge

The Avon School’s Challenge is the new integral part of Northam’s Avon Descent Association’s long term commitment to developing physical and mental health across Western Australia and fostering a new generation of athletes.

Get in contact today to discuss your school’s participation in WA’s newest inter-school competition in 2019.

In 2019 Northam’s Avon Descent Association in partnership with the City of Armadale are very proud to announce the introduction of the Avon Schools Challenge Development Fund.

This fund will be a significant first step towards helping to kickstart sporting and fitness programs for participating schools. Its objective is to award funds in a range of categories for both performance and participation including fastest male, fastest female, highest point score and most participants by an attending school.

We are excited about this new partnership and it represents part of our long term commitment to the growth of paddling in WA and improving physical and mental health at all levels. It is only through programs like this that we can ensure that the Avon Schools Challenge competitors of today can become the Avon Descent and Olympic champions of tomorrow.
