2015 Avon Descent Update

REGISTRATION
Is open from 10:00am to 9:30pm on Friday at the Northam Swimming Pool, Mitchell Avenue Northam.

BOAT DROP-OFF
You will be advised as to where your boat should be dropped off. This is dependent upon where the event will start. You will be informed of this at Registration.

THE COURSE
The Northam Avon Descent Board will make the decision of the course for Day 1 at 10am tomorrow (31 July)
Day 2 course decision will be made at 12noon on Saturday 1 August – all competitors will be informed via Facebook and the Avon Descent website.

HELMETS
Please remember to bring your helmets to registration as you have to attach your timing chips to them.

SCRUTINEERING
If you require re-scrutineering please get up to Northam early.
Scrutineering is being held at the Northam Swimming Pool, Mitchell Avenue Northam.

PORTAGING
Competitors must not deviate more than 30 metres from the river proper.

PULLING OUT OF THE EVENT
Please make sure that if you have to pull out of the Event that you let an official know (if you are nowhere near an official check point) and make your way to the closest road. Please leave your helmet and craft where it can be seen by the ASU.

WALYUNGA NATIONAL PARK
Passes or stickers for competitor vehicles must be displayed when entering Walyunga in the event of a shortened course event, if these are not visible an entry fee, will be charged. Accordingly no vehicles will be permitted down into the vehicle turnaround area at Walyunga pool recreation area without a pass.

If a full course is run, any support crew wanting access to the river via Walyunga will be expected to pay the normal park entry fee.
