Swim to Rotto with act-belong-commit

Earlier this year, act-belong-commit ambassador Garth undertook his first attempt of the Rottnest Channel Swim. Next year, Garth is going back for more and is calling fellow Western Australians to join him by registering as part of the ‘act-belong-commit swim to Rotto’ team.

“Participating in the Rotto Swim is the epitome of the act-belong-commit message” says Garth.

“Not only do you have to physically prepare, you have to mentally prepare as well” he said.

Garth hopes that by recruiting a team of like-minded people to participate in the 2013 event, he will inspire others to join in the training and help spread the mentally healthy message on the day.

“You gain a tremendous sense of connectedness by being part of such a gruelling event and the feeling of achievement after conquering the swim is enormous” he said.

This year the swim is being held on Saturday 23rd February 2013. If you are interested in joining the act-belong-commit swim to Rotto team, register your interest at info@actbelongcommit.org.au or call (08) 9266 4648.
